Let’s go behind the scenes at MTC and meet one of our staff members!
Get to know Adisa Semic, who has recently moved to a new position of Centre Manager at our Cabramatta site after working as a Senior Trainer in our Liverpool office.
Where did you work prior to MTC?
Prior to MTC, I worked at Cambridge College.
What made you want to come and work at MTC?
I was keen to work closer to home and was looking for new challenges within the Language, Literacy and Numeracy program back then.
What are you responsible for in your role at MTC?
In my current, new, role I look after my staff members and clients. Replying to emails and processing requests is now part of my morning routine. Communicating with providers and updating them on their client’s progress, answering all their questions. Attending all online meetings, informing staff about changes and processes and being there to listen to them and provide advice if needed. At the site, my responsibilities are to make sure that everything runs smoothly and daily processes get completed.
Tell us a bit about your life outside of work.
Outside work I love spending time with my husband and two sons. During Lockdown we have started going for long bike rides around our area and spending a lot of time in the local parks kicking a ball or playing basketball. In the summertime, you will definitely find me at the beach.
What are some of your goals (work or personal) for the next year?
Well after just reaching one of the work goals and being promoted to a Centre Manager, my main goal for the next year is to be successful in the new role and be able to cope with all the new challenges that come with the role. Personal goal hopefully to be able to travel again and have a good holiday soon.
Are there any TV shows, movies or books that you’ve seen or read recently that you’d recommend?
During the cold days in winter and lockdown, I have been watching Money Heist, Who killed Sara, and Ozark that I would recommend.
