Certificate IV in Leadership and Management


The Certificate IV in Leadership and Management course is for developing and emerging leaders/managers working in a range of enterprise and industry contexts. As well as assuming responsibility for your own performance, individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others.

Who is it For?

There are no entry requirements for this course, although we recommend that students have language, literacy and numeracy skills at ACSF Level 3.

How it Works

Certificate IV in Leadership and Management is delivered via a combination of face-to-face and distance-based learning, and is comprised of 4 core and 8 elective units (12 units of competency in total).

Core units

• Communicate effectively as a workplace leader • Lead effective workplace relationships • Lead team effectiveness   • Implement operational plan

Elective units*

• Lead a diverse workforce • Implement continuous improvement • Identify risk and apply risk management processes   • Develop work priorities   • Coordinate implementation of customer service strategies   • Develop teams and individuals   • Show leadership in the workplace   • Write complex documents
