What is jobactive Australia?
jobactive is a government-funded employment program, delivered through registered jobactive providers. Job seekers enrolled in the program through Centrelink can choose MTC as their provider, and access jobactive services and benefits through their local MTC branch.
When you, an employer, hire a job seeker through a jobactive provider, you get access to a range of benefits under the program, along with skilled, trained and dedicated employees, who are aware of your expectations and fit the bill.
What is a Centrelink job seeker?
A Centrelink job seeker is an Australian citizen, resident or eligible visa holder. They are receiving an income support payment through Centrelink, such as Youth Allowance or Newstart. They are also looking for a job.
Job seekers come from a range of different backgrounds. Some are students who recently graduated, but can’t find work in their field. Others have been made redundant, and are having trouble finding a new role. Some live with a disability, and face difficulty finding accessible work.
A job seeker may also be planning to re-enter the workforce after maternity leave, injury and many other circumstances.
They all have one thing in common: they’re ready and willing to work.
