Work for the Dole: Language, Literacy & Numeracy for Job Seekers
This course equips you with pre-employment skills to help you find a job you like and transition into the workplace. Designed for people who have completed the SEE program, it’s a Work for the Dole eligible program that provides a pathway to work through a focus on employability and job-seeking skills.
Who is it For?
To be eligible for this course, you need to:
- Be aged 18–59
- Be receiving income support payments and have a mutual obligation requirement
How it Works
MTC Australia can deliver the course at one of our locations across NSW or onsite with a jobactive provider. You’ll attend face-to-face training over 26 weeks in a friendly and supportive environment. New intakes start every fortnight.
The course includes training in four key areas:
- Literacy and numeracy
- Vocational skills
- Employability: communication, teamwork, problem-solving, technology, initative and enterprise, and planning and organising
- Pre-employment: resume writing, interviews, career planning, cold calling, volunteering, canvassing letters and networking
At the end of the course, you will have a Statement of Attainment or Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways (FSK20113).
