MTC Australia is a thriving social enterprise that provides pathways for people of all backgrounds and life stages to create new life opportunities.
MTC helps more than 20,000 people every year to build self-worth, gain skills for employment and entrepreneurship, and enable possibilities for transformative change.
Established in 1989 with a team of just three, we’ve grown to over 20 locations and more than 200 staff across NSW. Initially founded to assist the most disadvantaged, as we’ve grown we’ve expanded our focus to support people from all backgrounds who want to improve their employment skills and prospects.
Every year we help more than 20,000 people to create career opportunities, find independence and live meaningful lives.
We deliver a range of proven programs that provide people with the practical skills they need to take their next small step or giant leap. These include federal government programs such as the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS), jobactive and Skills for Education and Employment (SEE).
We also deliver nationally accredited courses and innovative youth programs, and offer specialist recruitment services through MTC Recruitment.
As a social enterprise, we invest financial surplus back into social impact initiatives that support and empower at-risk Australians. These include Warakirri College, an independent high school for students who need an alternative to mainstream education.
In 2016/17 we invested MTC funds allowing disadvantaged people and communities to access high impact employment, learning and youth programs. Click here to view the Social Impact Map which details program specific outcomes.
