Helping you prepare for and find work
Workforce Australia is an Australian Government program designed to help people find work.
There are two levels of support:
Workforce Australia Online, where you can self-manage your job search with tools, resources, and job boards.
Workforce Australia Services, which gives you extra support when you need it to get ready for and look for work. MTC Australia provides this service.
If you are accessing Workforce Australia Services, your MTC Coach will work with you one-on-one to identify your strengths and needs, and help you get ready for work. We refer you for opportunities, and help you find a job where you can grow and succeed.
You also get free access to the MTC Aspire app. It gives you everything you need to find your next job and build your skillsets, whenever you need it.

Finding a job can be hard, especially if you’ve spent time out of the workforce or haven’t had to look in a while. With MTC you can access a range of free services so you’re in the best position to succeed.
We will get to know your individual needs and goals so we can help you identify the right type of work and build the right skills. As a registered employment provider, we have a network of employers that we can use to help you find your next job.
Once you have found your ideal job, our support doesn’t stop there! We’ll help you settle into your position and make sure you’re on the right path to success.
Meeting your mutual obligation requirements
For people getting income support with mutual obligation requirements, Workforce Australia includes a Points Based Activation System (PBAS). PBAS gives you more choice and flexibility in how you meet your obligations each reporting period. You’ll complete tasks and activities, such as applying to jobs or undertaking an education or training program, to earn the points you need to meet your points target.
We want to ensure that you are getting the most out of your time with MTC and working towards a life of your choosing, so you can discuss which activities you would like to complete with your MTC Coach to create your tailored journey to employment.
With MTC Aspire, you’re in control. You get easy access to everything you need, with the freedom and flexibility to create your own path.
