What is Workforce Australia?

Workforce Australia is an Australian Government program designed to help people find work.
If you’re looking for a job and apply to receive income support payments with Centrelink, they will connect you with Workforce Australia.
How does Workforce Australia work?
There are two levels of support delivered by Workforce Australia:
Workforce Australia Online, where you can self-manage your job search with tools, resources, and job boards.
Workforce Australia Services, which gives you extra support when you need it to get ready for and look for work. MTC Australia provides this service.
If you are accessing Workforce Australia Services, your MTC Coach will work with you one-on-one to identify your strengths and needs, and help you get ready for work. We refer you for opportunities, and help you find a job where you can grow and succeed.
You also get free access to the MTC Aspire app. It gives you everything you need to find your next job and build your skillsets, whenever you need it.
Am I eligible for Workforce Australia?
All Australians can use the free Workforce Australia Online tools to search for and find a job.
If you’re getting income support with mutual obligation requirements, you may be referred to Workforce Australia Online to self-manage your mutual obligations, or an employment service provider like MTC Australia for tailored support.
If you don’t want to self-manage your obligations or would prefer personalised support, you can request to be switched to MTC Australia’s Workforce Australia Services. Learn more about your support options.
