This online course provides you with a range of career options in diverse business settings. You will develop a broad range of technology, business knowledge and practical skills. This course will prepare you for career opportunities such as Medical Receptionist, Records Clerk, Administrative Assistant, Customer Service Representative and Medical Secretary.
This training is subsidised by the NSW Government.
As part of this course, you will receive the support you need to apply for jobs, revamp or build your resume, obtain practical job interview techniques and establish your professional social media profile e.g. seek profile. Our specialist Business Trainers will guide you through this course to ensure you have the best possible opportunity of securing employment in a business administration industry.
Note for Employment Services Providers – Participation in this course equates to 20 PBAS points per week. MTC Australia will provide you with regular updates on your participants’ progress and participation, including any job outcomes. Completion of this course may be used in part to claim a Progress Payment. Evidence of course completion will be provided.
Who Is It For?
This course is available to all students under the Smart and Skilled initiative of NSW State Training. To be eligible, you need to:
- Be aged 15 years or older
- No longer at school
- Living and working in NSW
- Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen

You will require the Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital skills to:
- Read and comprehend the course learning content
- Conduct a basic internet search
- Engage in online learning, including video conferencing sessions
- Use a range of software to communicate electronically and create simple documents
You may also be required to have access to a computer or laptop and an internet connection.

This qualification will take 26 weeks, including face-to-face training, student focused activities, and assessment. You must complete 13 units, including 6 core and 7 electives.

Certification
Successful completion of this course will lead to a nationally recognised qualification in Australia, awarded by MTC Australia. Should a student not complete the full qualification, a Statement of Attainment will be issued for the units in which the student is deemed Competent.
