Will Kavanagh, a former student of MTC Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program, has achieved remarkable success after completing the ‘Pathway to Forklift Course‘ through the SEE program.
Will’s dedication and hard work have paid off as he successfully passed his forklift training and assessment for both (LF) and (LO) forklifts, obtaining professional standard licenses in the process.
But Will’s journey didn’t stop there. With the support of his SEE Trainer, Brian, CM of Redfern site, Bonnie, and his MTC Redfern job consultant, Andrew, Will persevered and overcame doubts about finding employment without a driver’s license. He attended the Pathway to Forklift course and then enrolled in the (LF) and (LO) forklift courses, proving that consistent steps towards his goals are key.
To his surprise, the lack of a car license didn’t limit him. Will’s newly acquired forklift licenses opened up doors of opportunity, and he secured employment as a forklift operator at DB Schenker in Alexandria. His success story serves as an inspiration to others facing similar challenges.
Will’s message of gratitude to his trainer and MTC reflects how our organization has played a pivotal role in helping him achieve his goals. This achievement showcases the effectiveness of MTC Australia’s programs in providing individuals like Will with the qualifications and skills needed to thrive in the workforce.
Congratulations, Will, on your well-deserved success! Your journey is a testament to your hard work, determination, and the valuable support provided by MTC Australia’s SEE Program. We are proud to have played a part in your journey towards a fulfilling career as a forklift operator.
