What is a Traineeship, and how can your Childcare Centre participate?
Traineeships are fee-free*workplace-based training programs delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) – in this case MTC Australia. A Traineeship will allow your staff to gain a nationally recognised qualification while working in your Centre. Your Trainee could study the following Vocational and Education Training courses:
Employers receive funding under the NSW Government’s Smart and Skilled program to support the training of new and existing employees (subject to eligibility criteria). Traineeships are offered full-time or part-time, depending on your business’s needs. Financial incentives and benefits for NSW employers will be subject to employers and their trainees satisfying the eligibility criteria.

With our Traineeship courses, MTC provides above-and-beyond mentoring through our experienced Trainers. With online and face-to-face sessions, our Trainers meet with the Trainee 2 times a month, plus additional sessions upon request. We deliver more one-on-one sessions than government standards and other RTO Providers as we believe it is crucial for your Trainee to feel supported by an accessible Provider. These sessions are held at your Centre, so the trainee can learn in real-time experience according to your company’s environment and culture.
